The small village nearby is named Lidgetton. Set in 40 acres of pastureland, the original family homestead built in 1912 has been restored to its full Victorian/Edwardian splendour by your hosts, Mike Macnab and Lynne Holding. Lastingham Guest House and bed and breakfast gives you the opportunity to enjoy accommodation at one of the Natal Midlands' grand old rural homesteads. A pleasant Sleep Over The first drive in impression is not pleasing.  The steep loose stone walk to the lower room is unlit, difficult to walk on, hence need a torch.  The Green room was spacious, comfortable, clean and warm. The dining room is too small, however, the food was good.
