Less than an hour’s drive out of Cape Town, Elgin Valley Inn is located in the breathtaking Elgin Valley, part of the Kogelberg Biosphere, a World Heritage Site. Surrounded by picturesque orchards, olive groves and cool climate vineyards, Elgin Valley Inn is quickly and easily accessible from the main N2 highway, with Grabouw town centre only a minutes’ drive away.

This family owned inn has been lovingly created for you to experience a very hospitable and relaxing time. There are a host of activities to do in the Elgin Valley, which range from activities such as mountain biking and quad biking to the more gentle pursuits of hiking, fishing and wine-tasting.

All of the guest rooms include an en-suite with a large power shower with massage jets. Room facilities include a flat screen satellite TV with 13 selected DStv channels, tea and coffee-making facilities, a mini fridge and a work or sitting area. Four of our rooms have large verandas with views overlooking apple orchards and mountains, and one of our rooms has a private enclosed courtyard with heated plunge pool and a portable barbecue and covered porch area.

Please feel free to use our communal barbecue area with an outside sink, table and chairs, tongs and wood available for your use. We serve a delicious continental buffet breakfast . Please note that we are not a self-catering guest house and therefore do not provide cutlery or crockery for barbecuing. Vouchers are provided for breakfast at our nearby friendly Red Tractor Café, only 900 m up the road, where full English, continental and vegetarian options are available.

Stella's garden is beautiful and attracts loads of birds; very relaxing to sit on the balcony and enjoy the Elgin views and the bird-life... We will come again. A perfect base for the Canopy Tour.
