Description
Shumba's Rest is a game farm adjacent to the Nylsvlei Nature Reserve. It is less than two hours' drive from Gauteng and is located in a malaria free area, which forms part of the Waterberg biosphere. Shumba's Rest has three dams on the premises with a few species of fish. Roughly 10 species of game range freely on the farm for your pleasure and viewing. These include blue wildebeest, kudus, nyalas and giraffes.

Shumba's Rest is perfect for group functions such as weddings, family reunions, and work functions.Group reservations of at least five units or more are required. Shumba's Rest comprises nine chalets and a tented camp with 10 permanent furnished tents. In total, Shumba's Rest can sleep up to 60 guests. Other facilities includes jacuzzis, a restaurant and a bar, a lapa with a boma, a large hall for concerts or large functions, and a conference room or chapel for weddings.

Shumba's Rest also offers game drives, a jacuzzi game drive, as well as a boma fire, each of which needs to be requested at the time of booking.

Please note Shumba's Rest only caters for groups who book at least five chalets or five tents, or more.
