Description
Big 5 Lodge is situated in Marloth Park. It is set in a landscape of large rocks and indigenous trees and it offers a private, relaxing bush experience. The viewing deck upstairs has a wonderful view of the Kruger National Park and lion and elephant have been sighted from here. In Marloth Park, you don't have to go looking for the animals as they will come to you.

The lodge sleeps 10 guests in four bedrooms. Besides the en-suite bathroom, there are two additional bathrooms that contain showers, baths, toilets and washbasins. The upstairs area is air-conditioned and the downstairs area has fans. All linen and towels are provided. There is an open-plan kitchen and a living area downstairs which opens onto a verandah. The kitchen is fully equipped including a fridge, stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery and all cooking utensils. The upstairs living area includes a TV lounge and it opens onto a deck with views over the Kruger National Park. There is a viewing deck on the third floor which has a bird's eye view of the Kruger National Park.

In the evening, guests can have a relaxing braai under the magic of an African starlit sky and listen to the roar of the lions. The lodge is designed to offer comfortable and spacious outdoor entertainment. You are likely to be visited by warthogs, various buck, monkeys and zebra. You might be surprised to wake up and find giraffe feeding from the trees. The lodge is ideally situated for day trips to the Kruger National Park and it is comfortably furnished in warm, earthy colours.

Not bad but not great the stay was nice. loved the wild animals coming to say hello beautiful braai area and stoop in front of house. the House is very small though. not to mention the uncomfortable small kitchen. the utensils in the kitchen needs sharpening and our room light did not work the pool did not have any water and there was a bad smell out side the whole weekend. the main road is very close, so it is very noisy with traffic. and a very awkward goodbye as you have to stand outside while your place gets searched for anything that might be broken.
