Onderhoek is a beautiful working farm situated just three kilometres outside Vredendal on the R363. Vredendal is possibly best known for its wild flowers in spring when the mountains transform into a tapestry of exquisite colour.

We offer a large Victorian farmhouse sleeping 15 guests, one self-catering unit sleeping two guests and a campsite with 20 grassy stands.

Renowned for its intricate irrigation scheme, the Olifants River allows for extensive agriculture and viticulture in the area. The valley is green and fertile, surrounded by the majestic Gifberg, Maskam and Koebee peaks, creating a peaceful haven with a magical setting for getting away from it all.

Vredendal is on the Olifants River wine route and is an ideal base from which to explore the Namaqualand, the Cape West Coast and the Cederberg Mountains. It includes the large vineyards of Westcorp and Lutzville, a number of petite boutique cellars producing some up-and-coming wines, and typical West Coast hospitality.

Not What We Expected Hi<div><br /></div><div>We booked the farmhouse at onderhoek on your website, but receieved a flat attached to the main house, the flat did not have a bath as shown in the pictures and description of the farmhouse. We were two adults and one child, after the first person had a shower of approx. 5 minutes we had to wait an hour for the water to be hot enough for the next one to take a shower.</div><div>The Braai we were given was still dirty from the previous people who used it.</div><div>The dstv had a banner saying the account is in arrears so for the three days there was no tv at all.</div><div>I feel that for paying R2250.00 for three nights is definitely not worth it.</div><div>Do you guys at Safarinow inspect the units you advertise on your site at all?</div>
