Shashani Lodge Western Matopos is a self-catering lodge located just 59 km from Bulawayo on the Plumtree Road, making it the ideal accommodation location for guests travelling to Zimbabwe from the Botswana border. The main lodge features a lovely bar, a lounge and dining area, and an outside entertainment area with a swimming, barbecue facilities and a fire pit.

The lodge offers accommodation in five stone under thatch lodges, all overlooking an outstanding Matopos granite kopjie. Each lodge features an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The lodge is self-catering with a fully equipped kitchen. Please note this is not a wheelchair friendly property due to the stairs

Shashani Lodge Western Matopos in Matobo National Park Reviewed by susan tremeer, South Africa on . Disappointed The view was indeed spectacular, however the signage to the lodge was non-existent. The linen was used and crumbled, shocking! Fridge in the kitchen, rusty, unhygienic and completely freezed up. Cleaning mops and cloths really disgraceful. Surely a small bar of soap could have been put in the shower for the guest's usage. Not to be recommended to SA visitors.
