Description
Etosha Aoba Lodge is located on a 34000 ha private game reserve on the eastern boundary of the Etosha National Park which is home to the lion, rhino, leopard and cheetah. It is an ideal oasis in the middle of the Namibian wilderness and provides unspoilt nature and a basis for leisure.

Onguma Etosha Aoba Lodge has a total of eleven well-appointed rooms located along the dry “Omuramba Owambo” riverbed in a colonial African style. They offer comfortable accommodation and a very private atmosphere. We are ideally located for guided and private game drives in the national park, as well as for our own special drives in our private game reserve.

Etosha Aoba Lodge in Etosha National Park Reviewed by Marlies Kurath, Switzerland on . Excellent Wow... It started with a very warm welcome and ended with a hearty goodbye and thank you. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aoba lodge. Nelson and Sarah were excellent hosts, and we felt welcome from the first to the last minute. Aoba is a retreat in a world of its own. The Family room was spacious and really beautiful. (Kids aged 15 and 17). Moskito netting on the sliding doors of the bedrooms (which we left open at night)as well as Moskito netting over the beds ensured a peaceful sleep. Beds and matresses excellent! Breakfast and dinner were superb - and Nelsons wine celler had a wide range of excellent wines. We could do some wine tasting before supper, to ensure that we had the wine that we really wanted. Pool area also beautîful. There is a waterhole just a few meters from the pool and Dining area. We had the privilage of watching a herd of Kudus just after breakfast. The sundowner game drive with William was the Highlight of our first day. After 3 days of etosha we enjoyed being driven around and William gave us a lot of Information on many things that we had seen on Etosha, making us see many things in a completely different light. William went out of his was to find the big ones for us - it has rained a lot before we came, so the waterholes were not frequented as they would have been. Albertina served us dinner and breakfast as well as Drinks by the pool - a beautiful and warm person who also went out of her way to make us feel at home in beautiful surroundings. Thank you to all (also the staff members who work hard in the background) we will definitely be back again!!! :-)
