Breede River Lodge Unit 310 is a lovely self-catering holiday cottage located in Witsand, on the banks of the mighty Breede River. This is the perfect holiday venue for families and offers water sports, fishing and swimming. From the comfort of your lounge, sit back, relax, and breathe as you watch the breakers of the Indian Ocean pushing back into the Breede River at the turn of the tide.
This self-catering unit is separate from the hotel. The cottage can accommodate up to six guests and contains two bedrooms, main en-suite. All of the rooms have views of the river. There is also a family bathroom with a bath and a sleeper bed in the lounge area for an extra two guests. DStv is available but your own decoder must be brought. Features include a large open-plan lounge, dining room and kitchen with breathtaking views, and the cottage is furnished right down to the last item that you will need for your stay.
Guests also have access to all the amenities and recreation facilities of the Breede River Lodge on the doorstep. These include two restaurants at the lodge, a pub and local excursions and river trips.
The Breede River estuary is a fisherman's paradise and this beautiful area is well-known for water sports, including wind surfing, canoeing, deep-sea and river fishing, cruises, body boarding and swimming. Enjoy the safe bathing beach, rock pools and tidal pool.
This magical area boasts sandy white beaches and adjacent farmlands and ostrich farms along the wide Breede River mouth. In addition, the Breede flows to the sea and offers spectacular whale-watching opportunities when the whales calve in June to October.
