Description
If you are looking for peace and tranquility at the foot of a mountain in Betty's Bay, look no further than Mountain Mist, which can accommodate six guests in a fully furnished house with all the comforts of your own home.

In the shadow of the looming, yet protective Kogelberg Mountain, Mountain Mist sleeps a total of six guests in three bedrooms. The spacious living area is inviting, light and well furnished with emphasis placed on convenience in all its possible simplicity.

The large open-plan kitchen overlooks the lounge, which has a wood-burning fireplace and a flat-screen TV with limited DStv channels. Additional comforts include towels, crisp white linen with quality mattresses and bedding, all kitchen utensils, a microwave, an oven and a washing machine.

Envious mountain views can be enjoyed from the sheltered outside braai area, which boasts a cold-water Jacuzzi. Please note that the Jacuzzi cannot be heated. Here one can question the true meaning of life, love and self-value, amidst the normal family banter. But not to worry, the pretty town of Betty's Bay has lots of adventure in store, waiting to be discovered.

Mountain Mist in Bettys Bay Reviewed by Ilze November, South Africa on . Not completely satisfied Beautiful home and even prettier surroundings. Well-equipped home. But, firstly, the dstv was not in working order when we got there, and to get it to work took quite a while.
Secondly, after three not so long showers, there was no more water.
Thirdly, the fact that the neighbour is constantly checking on you makes you feel as if you are still in school. And I feel that this is out of line.

Establishment Response:

Thank you for taking the time to rate your recent stay at Mountain Mist and to write a review for SafariNow.com. We appreciate all feedback (positive or negtive) and endeavour to improve upon the satisfaction levels of both existing and future guests. We are sorry to hear that your stay included a few aspects which were not to your complete satisfaction, so kindly allow me to address these aspects. As mentioned in our telephone conversation on Friday, 24 April, DSTv informed us that the reason for the initial faulty DSTv transmission is due to the recurrent power failures and that a phone call to DSTv would settle this problem. As soon as we received your sms in this regard, we immediately contacted both you and DSTv in order to ensure that DSTv was up and running again within the shortest possible time frame. We would like to apologise for the inconvenience that the break in DSTv transmission has caused. Kindly note that in all communication to prospective guests we do stress the fact (by means of two written emails) that Mountain Mist can accommodate an absolute maximum of six guests (adults and/or children) and as such the neighbour does tend to inform us if more than six guests are present on the premises at any one time. Sadly there were more than six guests present at Mountain Mist during your stay, resulting in your discomfort with the neighbour. Unfortunately this does happen in cases where the maximum-number-of-six-guests rule is not respected. We are a family of six and we stay at Mountain Mist once a month, during which time four of us take either a shower or a bath within a two hour period, and as yet we have not experienced any problems with the water running cold. It might be, however, that the water ran cold due to the fact that more than six people were present at Mountain Mist, but thank you nonetheless for letting us know -we will certainly look into this in order to ensure that the geyser/heating element is in tip top condition.
