Description
Situated in the Mabalingwe Nature Reserve, Hippoview is a tastefully decorated and comfortable house, easily accessible from Johannesburg.

The house consists of five bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. Four bedrooms contain double beds and the fifth bedroom contains two single beds and a bunk bed. There is also a guest toilet between the lounge and dining room, while for a real bush experience there are two outdoor showers.

The kitchen is fully stocked with fridge, freezer, stove, washing up facilities, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. Any shopping for food can be done at a shopping centre in Bela Bela. It is about a 40 minute drive from Mabalingwe into Bela Bela. A private chef is available; please send an email to enquire.

The dining room can seat eight people and the lounge has a big screen TV, with cable TV and an indoor bar. There is a study and work area above the dining room. There is also free Wi-Fi. The patio can seat ten people at the outside table and there are three loungers to relax on next to the Jacuzzi. James lives on the property and is the onsite security. He will assist with making fire and switching on the Jacuzzi if needed.

The rock pool is a few metres away and situated next to a large rock for tanning. There is an amazing view from the pool of the valley and hippo pool in the distance. There is a range of outdoor activities available; day and night game drives, bird drives, lion feeding, lion cub interaction, horse riding, hiking trails, tennis, mini golf, archery, squash, paintball, abseiling, children's playground, bush boma dinners and a golf course at Elements Golf Estate which is an estate opposite Mabalingwe.

Enquiries and costs for any of these activities can be made at the main reception. A restaurant and ladies' bar is available at the main reception as well as a farm shop for stocking up on a few necessary items. There is parking on site for six cars.
