Description
Boiketlo Lodge provides basic accommodation situated right in the heart of Gabarone. This is a good option for backpackers who want to be within walking distance of the town centre or as a low-cost stopover. Accommodation is offered in nine economy rooms with en-suite bathrooms and safe under-cover parking is provided on the property.
Gaborone has all the facilities of any modern capital city, with a range of hotels and a choice of cinemas and casinos. Restaurants are numerous and varied, and night clubs abound. The National Museum is situated near the centre of town and houses important collections of traditional crafts and fine African art. There is an international airport on the outskirts of the city.

We arrived in the evening and the receptionist looked exhausted and not very enthusiastic. The room was not too bad for a one night stay but I wouldn't stay there for longer than that. There was no towels in the bathroom even for drying hands. There was only half a roll of toilet paper supplied. There was only one tea bag supplied. I couldn't sleep properly because of the light from the passage coming in through the glass window above the door. No receipt was supplied upon checking out in the morning.

For anyone who needs an accommodation in the center of Gaborone, but has a low budget, this is an excellent choice. The room and bathroom were clean, with a large bed, TV, tea and coffee facilities. The staff were always very friendly. The lodge, situated in a very calm and peaceful neighborhood, is a four minutes walk from the main mall, the bus station that connects to Joburg/Pretoria, museums, ministries etc.
