Description
Campfire Safaris Private Game Farm is in the Balule Nature Reserve which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. It is situated between two of the Kruger's most popular entrance gates, Phalaborwa Gate and Orpen Gate. Campfire Safaris is situated in a Big 5 area and one of our most popular features is the 30 metre lookout tower, affording a beautiful view of the bush and overlooking a waterhole.

Campfire Safaris offers different types of accommodation including rondawels, caravans and two bush hides. We have DStv, a swimming pool, lecture room and a curio shop. All bedding and towels are provided. The following services are available for an additional fee: transfers to and from Hoedspruit Bus Terminus and Eastgate Airport, Bush walks, Game drives, excursions to local attractions, Breakfast and Lunch - self-catering (food provided), Dinner, laundry service, Internet (WiFi), printing and photocopying.

The Balule Nature Reserve on which Campfire Safaris is situated has implemented a conservation levy on all people entering the Reserve. Please note that the charges for 2015 are R100 (one hundred) per person and R50 (fifty rand) per car. These fees are payable in cash on entering the Reserve. PLEASE NOTE that self-drive game viewing is NOT permitted in the Reserve.

Campfire Safaris in Hoedspruit Reviewed by Lynette Louq, South Africa on . Campfire Safaris We had a most enjoyable overnight stay at Campfire Safaris. Our hosts were friendy and helpful and made us feel most welcome although they were busy shutting down for renovations, which we understood is usually done during December. The only problem we experienced was that according to our booking in included bed and breakfast, which according to out host has never been the case. Despite this she produced some "pakkos" for our trip into Kruger for which we were most grateful. We will most definately go again and recommend the place to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.
