Description
Experience the peace and tranquility of the Eastern Free State. Korfskop is only three hours' drive from Gauteng, Bloemfontein and Durban on the N5 between Kestell and Harrismith.

The old sandstone house with its beautiful Oregon pine floors was built in 1868 and has four bedrooms that sleep up to 12 people on either single or queen-size beds. The 2.5 bathrooms are shared between the rooms. Linen and towels are provided, as well as electric blankets and hot-water bottles. A fully equipped, self-catering, farm-style kitchen with its original Oregon pine furniture add to the nostalgia of yesteryear. A large spacious lounge, with anthracite stove and a sunny living room can be enjoyed, especially in winter. The lounge has a TV and DStv, but guests have to bring their own smartcard. Braai facilities and servicing is available by arrangement and at an additional fee.

Huge sandstone boulders and indigenous umbrella trees add to the beauty of this area. Water is provided by fresh water springs and a borehole. Enjoy a family outing and view and pet the farm animals or have a swim in the dam on warm summer days. Nearby places of interest include The Golden Gate National Park, Clarens, the Sterkfontein dam, Jagers Rust Hydro Electrical Scheme and the Basotho Cultural Village.
