Description
Boulders Lodge is a lovely self-catering establishment on a small holding, bordering Fouriesburg. The accommodation features breathtaking views of farmland, the landmark “Hoenderkop” koppie and the Maluti Mountains.

There are two units available. The Cottage is open plan with views toward Lesotho. The lounge and kitchen share an open sandstone fireplace and the kitchen is fully equipped, including pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. The lounge has two large sofas, a sleeper couch and two cane chairs. A TV with DVD player is also included; please note there is no TV reception. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and a wall heater; electric blankets are supplied. The second bedroom has two single beds with electric blankets and a wall-panel heater. Linen and towels are provided. Wood for the fireplace is provided and additional wood is available for purchase. The large veranda has fantastic views and a braai facility.

The Studio is a one-bedroom self-catering unit. The unit has a queen-size bed with an electric blanket and a double sleeper couch in the lounge. The unit is heated with wall panels and a sandstone open fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a counter oven with two hobs, a microwave, a kettle and a toaster. The veranda also has views and a braai facility.

There is lots of space to walk and relax, and guests can enjoy bass fishing in the dam.

Enjoyable Stay We very much enjoyed our short stay at Boulders Lodge.  The accommodation provided all that we would wish for during a winter stay; wall heaters in the bedrooms, heater in the bathroom, heating pads on the beds, and a cosy fireplace.  Clean and neat accommodation and area around the unit.  We enjoyed our short hike down to the dam, and exploring alternate trails on our return.  A most enjoyable stay.  There is some highway noise, but it did not disrupt our enjoyment of staying at Boulders Lodge.  ~ Benno and Wendy Fath
