In the warm and welcoming Kalahari town of Upington is the elegant guest house, the Riverbank Lodge. The lodge is owner-run, with friendly, experienced staff on hand to assist you in planning your day. Riverbank Lodge makes for the ideal stopover on your way to Namibia or the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. What makes Riverbank Lodge so special is the fact that we are located on the banks of the mighty Orange River, yet still so close to town.

Riverbank Lodge is conveniently situated in town in a safe and quiet neighbourhood, just a five minute walk from the CBD. The lodge offers 12 en-suite rooms, each with a private entrance, DStv, fridge, microwave, tea and coffee-making facilities, and air-conditioning. Beautifully finished bathrooms complement the luxurious suites. With attention to detail throughout, every need is catered for. All rooms are also serviced daily and all amenities are supplied.

Breakfast is enjoyed in our lovely dining room and we cater for people with special dietary needs, when arranged beforehand. For those guests that do not wish to dine at the restaurants in town, Riverbank Lodge also offers barbecue facilities. It is truly an experience to enjoy a scrumptious braai in the charming garden while watching the sun set over the river.

The lodge offers ample safe parking for weary travellers, as well as a conference facility for up to 20 people. We provide the catering for such conferences. In summer, guests can laze around one of our two pools, and enjoy the feel of the hot African sun on their skin.

Attention needs to be given to finer detail in the room. The room also smelt like someone had smoked in it before and smelt stale. It wasn't bad, just very average and not what I expected.</div><div><br /></div>
