Smartt Guesthouse is a small and friendly guest house ideally located on the N12 between Gauteng and Cape Town, making it an ideal stopover location. The guest house is under new ownership since April 2013 and is situated next to Quest Service Station.

The owners, Francois and Kotie see to the day to day running of the guesthouse as well as the Pub and Grill on the premises.

There are four twin or double rooms available as well as a family room. Safe parking is available as well as a swimming pool area that is still under renovation.

Needs some TLC The owners are friendly and the bedding and towels clean, but the rest of the experience was disappointing. The main light in our room didn't work. There's no air conditioner, and the necessary plug wasn't provided to plug in the fan. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable and due for an urgent replacement. The curtains can’t be drawn properly. All the communal areas are smoker-friendly and thus not too friendly for non-smokers. Overall, the guesthouse leaves a run-down impression.
