Description
Pockets Place Guest Farm is situated in the Magaliesburg protected natural environment were people come to get away from the busy city life, relax and enjoy the beauty of nature that the North West Province has to offer.
We pride ourselves on keeping the major portion of the farm as natural as possible, preserving the indigenous flora thereby attracting a large variety of birdlife, with over 3000 species. A number of wild animals have been sighted on the farm including warthog, jackal, leopard, baboon, kudu, duiker, bush pig and brown hyena. From here you can expect to see spectacular sunsets and awesome views of the Magaliesburg Mountains which tower over us.
The road from the entrance up to the accommodation is a typical farm road and might not always be as smooth as you are use to, special after heavy rains. Please contact us if you drive a sports car with a very low base.

Pockets Place Guest Farm in Magaliesberg Protected Natural Environment Reviewed by Karen van Niekerk, South Africa on . Fear for Spiders?Lovely cottage for 2 people only. Very nice, basic and clean, dogs lovely, owner lovely, however, the cottage is not children friendly at all and should not be sold that way, not even with a camping cot, the facilities are not right. Luckily we did not have our baby with us the first night, as we were literally attacked by red roman spiders. 4 attacked us in 1 hour, by 20:00, we locked ourselves inside the cottage without dinner and just tried to sleep - I was horrified so not much luck in the sleeping department. We had to leave the next day as we could rest whilst being attacked by those massive spiders, plus we could not have our 1 year old locked in the cottage all day nor could she run around outside. If a leopard or a zombie had jumped out of the bush I would be in better state today.
