This camp is located on the Eastern side of Etosha, in Onguma Private Game Reserve that expands over 34,000 hectares of land. The camp offers many rooming options to guests.
The Water Hole or Pool View Rooms feature twin beds, with a large en-suite bathroom and a patio overlooking the great views. The Standard Rooms have twin beds and an en-suite shower. Three of the Standard Rooms can accommodate and additional two children in a loft. Settler’s Room used to be known as the Honeymoon Suite and offers a small seating area as well as an en-suite bathroom. The Family Rooms have twin beds as well as a small lounge that can accommodate two children.
The lodge also boasts a great swimming pool, a thatched bar, lounge and dining room where guests are able to relax and unwind overlooking the large watering hole. Onguma Bush Camp focuses on creating a family friendly environment. Children can enjoy activities such as baking in the kitchen or taking a nature walk in the fenced garden of the camp. There are also DVDs and a large game area with books, toys and games. Child-friendly food is served and families can pre-arrange their own exclusive game drive.
The lodge offers many activities for guests. When not relaxing in the lodge, guests are able to partake in morning game drives in the neighbouring Etosha National Park, and sunset and night game drives are also offered in Onguma Game Reserve. The lodge offers a Rhino Research Drive, where guests are able to learn more about the Black rhino and assist in gathering data to help protect these creatures. In the morning guests are able to join a ranger on a guided walk and spend some time focusing on the smaller animals and the vegetation that makes up Namibia. |
