Ukutula Lodge is situated on a beautiful 260-hectate bushveld farm less than an hour's drive away from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The lodge boasts a variety of game and bird life, and is also home to a fascinating lion education centre.
We offer comfortable, fully equipped self-catering accommodation with a private barbecue area in quiet surroundings. Our larger family units can accommodate up to six persons in two bedrooms, ideal for larger families, and all our chalets feature air-conditioning, private bathrooms, kitchens, and TVs with local channels. Guests also have access to the lapa where they can make use of the communal kitchen and lounge area, as well as the swimming pool to cool off in on those hot summer days.
Ukutula is a wonderful training opportunity and eco-experience for every visitor. Quality training, interesting programmes and exciting activities are presented for all age groups and levels. A popular choice is the lion walks, giving visitors a chance to linger with the big cats in their natural environment and providing wonderful photography opportunities. The reserve boasts a large variety of game and tours can be arranged in the form of game drives, horse back, or quad bike. The area is also home to over 130 species of birds and is a paradise for bird watchers. Other activities include field walks, fishing, a climbing wall, and minigolf. |
