At Vuna Valley we offer our guests a comfortable place to chill, a base from which to explore the beautiful KwaZulu-Natal south coast and Pondoland. A short six minute drive takes you to the quaint town of Port Edward, where the beach is always the place to be and the locals are like the weather, warm and welcoming all year round.

This magical spot is set within strolling distance from the Old Pont entrance of the Umtamvuna Nature Reserve and River. It is also close to a number of unspoiled beaches which makes it the ideal destination to promote an up-close view of nature, combined with a host of outdoor activities.

Vuna Valley is a rustic guest house and boutique backpackers with a ‘bush lodge’ feel. Not your average backpackers, most of our Afro-chic styled rooms are en suite, have their own separate entrances, comfortable beds, crisp linen, tea and coffee facilities, covered patios, air-conditioning and spectacular views of the gorge and its magnificent cliffs or our tranquil garden. All of our chalets have access to our communal kitchen and lounge facilities.

For longer stays and those who require a little more privacy, we combine our facilities together to create private self-catering options. We also offer a varied choice of breakfast and vegetarians are welcome.

Grab a book from our library and chill out in the lounge, catch some rays next to the pool or grab a picnic basket and head into the nature reserve or to the beach. For rainy days we have a TV lounge with full satellite bouquet, a dart board and a large selection of board games to keep you busy.
