Zavora Del Sol is situated on one of the finest stretches of coastline in the Inhambane Province. The excellent fishing and unspoilt beauty of miles and miles of coastline is what makes Zavora Del Sol a unique holiday destination.

The lodge consists of three Six-sleeper Houses and three Eight-sleeper Houses. Each eight-sleeper unit is a sea-facing self-catering house with three bedrooms as well as a loft bedroom, while each six-sleeper unit features three bedrooms with twin beds and ceiling fans. All houses are fully equipped with stoves, fridges and deep freezers, and the cupboards are well stocked with crockery, cutlery and utensils. Mosquito nets and bedding are also provided.

The houses are supplied with electricity via a diesel generator that runs at set times, displayed in the houses. These times can vary but is usually 8-10am and 4-9pm. Cleaning staff come into all the houses to make beds, do the washing up and keep the place clean to ensure you don’t have to worry about chores during your well-deserved break.

Zavora Bay is protected by a reef and this is where boats are launched. A natural tidal pool is created by this reef that is ideal for snorkelling and swimming, and plenty of humpback whales are sighted between June and November. Occasionally, eagle and manta rays, as well as graceful sailfish, burst from the surface in brief flights. Dolphins are also regularly seen feeding and playing in the bay.

Zavora a winner Styaing at Zavora was a pleasure, friendly staff and awesome accommodation, in the big house with plenty of space and all the chest freezers helped immensely to keep beers and drinks cold. We will be going back for sure. Although access to the beach at del sol was very steep, being able to drive onto the beach with the required permits at Zavora Lodge was a massive perk with all the equipment we took to the beach every day.
