Hlumu Lodge is located a mere 6 km outside of the Badplaas Valley, where it sits on the foot of the Hlumuhlumu Mountains in Eastern Mpumalanga and is a comfortable three hour drive from Gauteng.

Hlumu is also a host to an assortment of wildlife such as duiker, wild hare and the vervet monkey which roam freely around our beautiful property and neighbouring land. 12 Chalets of different sizes make up the lodges accommodation. Individually sized, they can accommodate from two to five people. All chalets have private verandas overlooking the spectacular mountains and homely atmosphere. All of which makes Hlumu the ideal destination for a naturally beautiful and relaxing getaway.

Each Chalet is equipped with linen, towels, tea/coffee making facilities, fans, wall heaters, TV's with selected DStv channels and all chalets are serviced daily. Fully equipped Self Catering cabins are also available.

The Lodge itself has a restaurant, where there is always something mouth watering and wholesome for dinner. The bar area is fully stocked and hosts a pool table, dartboard and TV for entertainment. There is also a cosy fireplace with couches to curl up on for those chilly evenings. Hlumu Lodge has two swimming pools, a heated one for children and a deeper cold water one. Hlumu Lodge offers scenic walks on the 50 hectare property.

Nie tevrede <div>Alhoewel alles mooi skoon en netjies was, sou dit 'n beter ervaring gewees het as daar genoeg eetgerei ens was. Ek het vir 5 mense betaal, en het verwag om genoeg eetgerei vir 5 mense te hê. Ons moes beurte maak om 1 teelepel te gebruik uit net 3 pap bakkies met GEEN eetlepels. Die DSTV kanale wat beskikbaar was, was van so aard dat daar geen kanaal was waarna kinders onder 13 kon kyk nie. Al 3 ons kinders is onder 13. </div><div><br /></div>

Beautiful scenery Had a warm welcome at Hlumu Lodge and a nice chat with the young couple who is running the lodge.<div>Sadly they went to bed shortly after supper and were seen in the morning just before we left. <span style="line-height: 1.5;">Beautiful scenery and neat wooden houses. </span><span style="line-height: 1.5;">Animal care project very interesting. </span><span style="line-height: 1.5;">Great performance of the chef of the lodge. </span><span style="line-height: 1.5;">Got a real good beef stew for supper (sadly just one white wine available...not cooled) and a nice breakfast. </span></div>
