Description
Conville Guest Farm is the ideal getaway location or overnight stay en route to or from the Cape. It is located on the banks of the Orange River, just outside of Aliwal North.

The farm offers guests a choice of staying in the Red, Yellow or Green Room, each with a private entrance. Each room is furnished with a comfortable double bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a bath or shower, or both. A cot or a mattress can be added for a child. Breakfast is served and other meals can be arranged on request.

Guests can enjoy activities such as walking, birdwatching, fishing and horse riding on the farm. Aliwal North has a remarkable history involving the Boers and the British during the Anglo-Boer wars, as well as two mineral hot springs. Guests can visit the Kerkplein Museum, the Garden of Remembrance and the Buffelspruit Nature Reserve.

Dont expect 5 star plushness, but rather old worldly authenticity and a peak into living 100 years ago! Beautifully cool rooms in the heat and our family unit was just perfect of our needs. And so reasonably priced!

The rooms were enormous and we were all very comfortable, the breakfast was great and the view from the house over the lake and countryside was beautiful. Highly recommended!
