Gamka Olives Farm Accommodation is conveniently situated in the small village of Leeu Gamka which straddles the railway line and the N1 between Laingsburg and Beaufort West.

Stay in our self-catering cottage on the edge of an olive orchard which offers two bedrooms and a bathroom with a bath and shower. The kitchen is ideal for self-catering with a fridge, microwave and braai facilities.

The last Cape lion was shot at Leeu-Gamka in 1857, and this species is now extinct. Private Schultz, said to be the tallest man in the British army, died here from wounds received in combat during the Anglo-Boer War. This is a great stopover for families and individuals alike. Come and experience true Karoo hospitality in a safe and friendly environment.

Keep in mind that Leeu Gamka is very small, if you plan to self cater, buy your provisions at one of the bigger towns before you head on to here. For those who cannot survive an evening without DSTV, there is a strong Vodacom 3G signal, DSTV now streams fine to a iPad.
