These Private Mountain Cottages is situated on a 270 Ha fynbos, Citrus farm in the Citrusdal valley in the Oliphants River Mountains which neighbours the Cederberg Wilderness area. The Farm is situated in a very secluded gorge that has a warm water (24 degrees) spring which seeps through the rock further up in the valley. The Conference centre has a jungle gym and swimming pool for the kids. The Farm also has a beautiful 2 km river area which can be used for swimming, canoeing, bird watching and fishing and we are in the process to create very private Glamping spots all along this river area. There is a Lovely 4km hiking trail which includes panoramic views, Gorge hiking covered in wild buchu and ends with a small waterfall. The canoeing is absolutely breathtaking and is about 3km's long.
Each Cottage has a private hot tub Jacuzzi with fire place and braai area at the veranda which has views of river valley, Fynbos and weird rock formations. The rooms are all en suite with King size beds (cotton percale bedding) that can be converted into single beds for conferences and team building.
We also do weekend weddings that can cater for on site 40 beds and if taken into account the Fully equipped tented camps at the river we can cater for 150 people on site for a wedding.
Citrusdal town has numerous has a golf course, Mountain biking trails, Hiking trails, Canoeing, Horse riding, 4x4 trails, bird watching, fishing and day dreaming spots. The river is rated the second highest bio diverse river in South Africa and we are 60km from one of the top ten rock climbing spots in the world and also 1 hours drive from South Africa's best left surf break.
