Get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city, let down your hair, kick off your shoes and come to Gansbaai. Get back to basics with warm, friendly people to welcome and pamper you. Gansbaai is made beautiful simply by its natural, rugged and unspoilt beauty.

This self-catering accommodation sleeps two guests and is located 200 m from the sea. Smell the ocean when you awake and have a quick look at the sea to plan your activities. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with a hob, an oven, a kettle, a microwave, a fridge and a TV, and you can have a real South African braai with the portable braai facilities provided. The bedroom offers a double bed, full DStv, and linen and towels are supplied. The bathroom is modern with a shower, a hand basin and a toilet.

From the spectacular cliffs of De Kelders to the white sandy beaches of Pearly Beach, it is here where you will find one of the most unique and astonishing land-based whale watching spots in the world. You could also travel onward to Dyer Island, where the mysterious and graceful great white sharks have drawn visitors from across the globe. This is why Gansbaai has become known as the great white shark capital of the world. In the same vicinity, just off Shark Alley, you will find an abundance of seals, being the hot spot restaurant of the great white sharks.

Fisherman's Cottage in Gansbaai Reviewed by Antoinette Dunne, South Africa on . Nice little cottage close to the sea! The cottage was very tidy and clean. Well equipped, but no hooks or rail in bathroom for wet towels. Overall very nice.
