Description
Gingerbed is a charming and stylish cottage situated on a large property with a beautiful, tranquil garden, in the historical "onderdorp" of Franschhoek. It has its own private entrance, and private courtyard overlooking the garden.
Our rooms are tastefully decorated, with whitewashed floors and white percale linen – it is simple, stylish, and comfortable. It is an open-plan unit with an en-suite bathroom with bath, basin and toilet, and small self-catering kitchen. There is a TV and couch in the bedroom, and guests also have access to the garden pool.

It had everything we needed, and more, and we would definitely recommend it. Comfy and cosy, just the right size for us, and so so central. You're right in the centre of town and within walking distance of all the restaurants on the main drag. Thanks Sue for your hospitality!<div>Bronwen & David</div>
Gingerbed Cottage in Franschhoek Reviewed by Lisa van leeuwen, South Africa on . Our Franschhoek Favourite This was our second visit to Gingerbed Cottage and once again we weren't disappointed. A self catering cottage flatlet, it's tastefully decorated and has just what one needs for a weekend away. We love the quiet surroundings, owner Sue's beautiful ceramics on the wall and plates, bowls to use, the outside area to enjoy tea and delicious rusks provided by our hosts ... it's a must for anyone needing a bit of 'time out' from the city. Another plus is that it's within two mins walking distance from Franschhoek's main buzz, yet nestled in quiet surrounds. We will be back!
