On a macadamia nut farm in the scenic area of Herbertsdale, guests will find Dwarsrivier Country Getaway, where accommodation is offered in four lovely cottages. The fully equipped self-catering units are set in a tranquil garden of fruit and nut trees with barbecue facilities.
All the cottages are comfortably furnished with double or single beds, or both, and the kitchens are equipped with a two-plate stove, a fridge and microwave. All units features private bathrooms, except The Mouse House and Puckety Place which share an ablution facility.
A country-style pub with an indoor barbecue , as well as extra freezer facilities, is also located on the property. Guests can enjoy the swimming pool or simply relax in the garden and enjoy the abundant birdlife of over 40 different species. Breakfast and dinner are available on request and is served in a large farm-style kitchen.
The lovely thatched cottages are set at the foot of the Outeniqua mountain range and the area is a very popular route for mountain bikers, motorcyclists and hikers. Guests can wonder through the macadamia nut plantation or take a leisurely walk in the mountains around the farm where the veldt is covered in a large variety of fauna and flora.
