Situated on the banks of the Great Fish River, this comfortable lodge is well situated for visits to Cradock, Bedford, Adelaide and Somerset East.

Accommodation is set in beautiful lush gardens, while the rushing Great Fish River creating an active environment with its resident wildlife.

Rooms are comfortable, en-suite and well equipped for any length of stay. A delicious breakfast is served each morning and best eaten outside in front of the river.

Fish River Lodge in Cookhouse Reviewed by Kuger du Preez, South Africa on . AVOID FISH RIVER LODGE We were very disappointed with conditions at this lodge. The service rendered was extremely unprofessional. The man who received us complained that he did not know about our booking. He also made racist comments. The sliding door windows of the room were very dirty. Furniture on the veranda is in a bad shape. The condition of the swimming pool was horrible.
