Description
Koedoesrus Bushcamp is located in Dinokeng Game Reserve outside Hammerskraal, off Rust de Winter Road. The terrain has seven sites close to the boma, toilets, washing facilities, splash pool and entertainment area. Most of the campsites have shade. Although the Camp Site is close to the main house, we do not bother the guests and they can relax on their own way.

We are situated within the Game Reserve with animals all around. Only serious nature lovers can book for camping. One night camping is not allowed, but can be arranged. No loud music and parties are allowed on the campsite. We can only accommodate up to sixteen (16) people over a period of two nights or longer on the campsite or otherwise arranged. No fireworks allowed at all times. This is not only our policy but the policy of the reserve.

Game Viewing per vehicle can be arranged at R220.00 one day, R330.00 for a two day and R390.00 for a three day permit on our Self Drive Game Route, to view the animal life such as Kudu, Zebra, Rooibok, Ostrich, Blesbok, Blouwildebees, Rooihartbees, Buffalo, Giraffes, Elephants, Lions, Cheetahs, Leopards small game and lots more.
Dinokeng Game Reserve is a beautiful reserve close to Pretoria which is mostly occupied by game lodges, farms and small holdings. It is conveniently only 45 minutes away from the city centre.

Koedoesrus Boskamp in Hammanskraal Reviewed by Neels Nel, South Africa on . Koedoesrus Boskamp What is expected, a fully "open air" functional bush camping site, with all the sites and sounds....of animals of course. The 4 starts goes for the "bushy" feeling, especially fro the sites close to the fence.
Owners extremely helpful and caring. Bet a permit and do the Dinokeng Game reserve self-drive

Koedoesrus Boskamp in Hammanskraal Reviewed by Seamus McGuigan, South Africa on . Absolute peace and quiet...
Koedoesrus was recommended to us by a fellow bush lover so we tried at very short notice to get a booking over Easter weekend...it was initially fully booked but we were contacted with a cancellation which we gratefully accepted. We were warmly welcomed by Jenny who showed us around the camp and checked on during our stay by Dirk for any needs...yes it is small camp and close to the main house but that doesn't really detract from the bush feel. The outside/open-air ablutions are a treat which really add to the experience.

During the day we did the self drive game routes but didn't have much luck in finding the elusive Big 5...the fact that they are out there was in itself gratifying...we could hear the lions roar at night amongst the chorus of Jackals which is always my favourite bush night sound.

For rustic camping then Koedoesrus is a great option.

Seamus&Lisa McGuigan
