Description
Kookfontein Rondawels is the first of its kind in the Namaqua region and is a replica of the Nama huts but in a modern style. The walls are decorated with quartzite slabs and round stones from our area. The rondavels blend in with nature and they are cool inside during summer.

Kookfontein Rondawels offers self-catering chalets which have en-suite bathrooms with private shower rooms. Each chalet has a spacious kitchen and a TV to give our client as much comfort and privacy as possible.

Kookfontein Rondawels in Steinkopf Reviewed by Nick Bryant, South Africa on . Kookfontein Rondawels very basic. No bedside lights. No bathroom/ toilet door. No proper braai facilities. However it was warm. Over priced for what we got. 
Kookfontein Rondawels in Steinkopf Reviewed by Lyn Daly, South Africa on . We have stayed here several times over the years, and each time we see small improvements to the property. The young lady who was on reception on the 11th April 2015 was super friendly and charming.  What a pleasure to get such service. The TV channels are very limited, and we would prefer security bars on at least one of the windows, because nowhere in the world do we like to feel vulnerable at night, even if locals say there is no crime. But for short stopover stays the rondawels are perfectly adequate and very clean.  The only reason we rate it 2 stars is for the limited facilities.
