Cheetah Ridge Manor House is a fully catered, 4-Star lodge that was built in 1942. The double storey sprawling grey stone house is situated in the southern section of the Nambiti Private Game Reserve and holds a historical charm matched by no other on the reserve. Cheetah Ridge offers a wide variety of bird life throughout the year, which can be seen flying from branch to branch and even stopping off for a visit to our magnificent Fig Tree.
Cheetah Ridge Lodge offers exquisite gourmet meals in the stunningly decorated dining area or under the African stars around a crackling boma fire, or should you wish a private dinner on the top storey veranda where you can take in the sights and sounds of Africa while savouring your meal.

We offer two lounges with fireplaces for those cold winter days, a large downstairs veranda where you can relax as you view the antics of the over 30 bird species found in the garden alone.

Each of our guests receive two game drives per day, where our qualified and knowledgeable rangers will take you out on to the Reserve to explore the wonders of Nambiti. Your qualified ranger will thrill your senses with sights and sounds of not only the big five but also cheetah, hippo, hyena, giraffe and over 30 plains game species. Guests will be introduced to some of the less known facts of nature including insects, birds and flora. A stop on your drive will give you the chance to stretch your legs and enjoy a sundowner and snacks in the afternoon or a hot beverage and homemade rusks on the morning drive.

The Lodge has its very own private dam and a quaint hide which looks out over the water. If you are lucky enough you will see an array of animals, such as Giraffe, Impala, Zebra Wildebeest, Warthog and from time the Elephants and Hippos make an appearance, all making their way down to the water to quench their thirst.
Apart from superb big five game viewing on open 4x4 game viewers, Cheetah Ridge offers other activities like a full size billiards table, bar with big screen TV for all your sporting needs, Cheetah Interaction, Drakensberg trips, Battlefield tours.
