Description
Nestled in the foothills of the Karkloof, amongst indigenous and pine forests, our aim at Rainbow Retreat is to welcome our guests into an unknown environment which lends itself to total relaxation, fun and a home away from home.

The 50-acre smallholding comprises one large main house which sleeps 10 guests sharing and features DStv, a bar, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and pool table. There are also three self-catering cottages; two sleeping six guests and one sleeping two guests. Facilities include a dam stocked with abundant trout bass and blue gill, a tennis court and forest walks with plenty of bird life. Mini conference facilities are also available.

Rainbow Retreat in Karkloof Reviewed by Karin Jacobs, South Africa on . The cottage that we stayed in was Rainbow Cottage. The kitchen had everything we needed, feather pillows and down duvets in the bedrooms, clean bathrooms with hot geysers and a shower that blows you away! A cosy fire and a comfortable lounge. Had a lovely time. Also enjoyed the common room in the main house, the beautiful gardens, tame guinea fowl and friendly dogs. Thank you Tony - Definitely will be back!!!
Rainbow Retreat in Karkloof Reviewed by Edgar Krisch, South Africa on . Pretty but in need of some tlc Beautiful setting, pity the chalet need some attention, leaking toilet with catchment container, leaking patio roof and in need of a good clean and fumigation. The access road is barely passable when dry for a front wheel drive sedan. Pity not kept to former glory.
