Description
A hidden gem pitched high upon a hill south west of Marken, a small settlement in the Limpopo Province. The lodge was aptly named Ehlathini, which means ‘in the bush’ as the lodge overlooks the stunning African bushveld.

The lodge is a place of quiet sophistication and tranquil elegance where our guests can experience the true beauty of the African bushveld. You are able to lose yourself in the surrounding nature; the smells, the sounds and rustic visuals. Ehlathini is a place of tranquil relaxation where our guests can determine the pace of their day.

Our nature walks and game drives bring you up-close to an array of bird life, giraffe, zebra, kudu, bluewilde beest and other antelope species. Crisp and clear night skies let you stargaze for hours loosing yourself, almost touching the Southern Cross and Orion’s belt.

Our promise is that you will leave our home in the bush with special memories with a longing to return.
At Ehlathini Lodge we offer you the absolute luxury of Time, Space and Solitude!

You can literally sit for hours on the terrace and watch the animals at the watering hole, listen to the birds in the garden, become one with the sound of flowing water, all whilst sipping on your favourite hot or cold beverage.
If however you feel more adventurous, the following might tickle your fancy.

There is our swimming pool, Game Drives (game viewing of the big four can be arranged on request at neighbouring farms), nature walks, bird watching, exploring Lephalale and surrounds (our closest town), golfing, spas, tours, hunting packages and last but not least we have stargazing picnics.

We needed to have a break from the daily work pressure and the warmth and hospitality of the staff was fantastic. The peace at the lodge was great and sitting around the Boma fire and staring at the stars was a great experience. The lodge is simple and unpretentious. Not five star luxury but great value for your pocket and your soul.

A small bit of heaven that by all rights should be kept secret. If you want a place with a view of heaven and earth with total peace and tranquillity and without the intrusion of TV and air conditioning this is the place. The food and service fantastic.
