Description
Liedjiesbos was purposely designed by one of Bloemfontein's leading architects to offer spacious and comfortable accommodation in a peaceful farm like atmosphere, without compromising on privacy and luxury. Liedjiesbos offers affordable accommodation in Bloemfontein.

The five double rooms, are cozy with antique furniture giving a warm farm atmosphere, they are full of natural light with sliding doors onto the veranda ensuring beautiful views of the garden. Each room is luxuriously equipped with cotton percale bedding and sheep's wool duvet, TV and DStv, full en-suite bathroom, electronic safe, electric blanket and coffee and tea facilities. All rooms are non-smoking.

The owners, Dawie Human and Henning de Bruin are passionate about making a difference in saving the environment that we live in and their efforts can be seen in every aspect of the business, the indigenous gardens, rain tanks, vegetable gardens and environmentally friendly home, architecturally designed by one of Bloemfontein’s top architect practices – Smit Architects.

The owners have been inspired to plant and only indigenous plants, and to do things as organically as possible. This stretches to the accommodation, slow food ingredients for breakfast, bath products and supplies. The buildings on the property used to be unsightly barns that are now beautiful architectural structures blending harmoniously into the Free State landscape. The buildings where designed to use as little energy as possible for heating and cooling of the interiors and most of the original building materials where re-used or recycled. Energy saving devices and solar geysers where also installed to reduce the carbon footprint.


A small library is available in the living room section. Feel free so page through our beautiful books about food, architecture, travel and nature. Binoculars also available for the bird watchers!

Not only will you feel pampered and special at Liedjiesbos – it is also a convenient place to stay whether you are in the City of Roses for business or pleasure, or indeed just passing through. Conference centers, the city center, Loch Logan Waterfront, Mimosa Mall, hospitals, schools and universities as well as tourist attractions are all within a short drive.
We are situated only 3 km outside Bloemfontein and a 10 minute drive will take you to all the major shopping centers, conference centers, the Loch Logan Waterfront, Mimosa Mall, the zoo and botanical gardens.
