The cottage is situated in the heart of Lüneburg, which was established as a German missionary post in 1854 - today Lüneburg has an active farming community, is home to the oldest German school in Northern Natal, boasts an excellent butchery, a unique farm cash store and two beautiful churches which are well worth a visit.

Whistling Duck Farm cottage in Luneburg Reviewed by ilse Uys, South Africa on . Whistling Duck stunning This is the 2nd time we have visited Whistling Duck and like before we had a wonderful stay! We were 8 persons instead of the recommended 6 persons but for Juliane it was no trouble adding 2 mattresses for the kids. There was more than enough cut and croc for all. Extremely neat, beautiful setting, peaceful, peaceful! Kids went canoeing, lovely NOT to have a TV + included enough braai wood and charcoal to have a cosy braai and fire! Friendly dogs and cats visiting - would recommend Whistling Duck in a heart beat!
