Escape to the land of contrasts, where the rigorous climate has created a myriad of life forms superbly adapted to their specific habitat.

Skilpad Rest Camp offers guests a choice of eight camps, all of which having between one to six stands. The camps are not equipped with electricity or ablution facilities, although some camps such as Bamboeskamp, Bouldersbaai, Koringkorrelbaai, Kwass se baai and Varswater have enviro toilets.

The Namaqua National Park is situated near Kamieskroon in the Northern Cape Province and members of SANParks’ loyalty programme, Wild, do not pay conservation fees provided that proof of Identity and their Wild card are shown on arrival.

The accommodation is high quality with breathtaking views of the unpopulated valleys below. Note that the road to the park is dirt and was a little corrugated but quite easily used by car.
