Description
Magalies Sleepy River is situated along the banks of the Magalies River which flows through natural vegetation with indigenous trees that provide shade for picnic areas and caravan and camping sites.

The caravan and camping sites are supplied with electrical points and braai facilities and are set among the trees and near to the ablution blocks. The ablution blocks contain toilets, baths, showers and laundry basins and sinks.

Guests can enjoy a dip in the large sparkling pool and then relax or play games on the surrounding expanse of lawn. The change rooms and shaded parking are conveniently situated for these facilities.

There are paths for those who like to walk and enjoy the natural scenery, with lots of wild birds to gaze at. There is plenty to keep you occupied in this area including horse riding, trips down a gold mine, various galleries and antique shops, an ostrich farm, and tea gardens and restaurants.

Magalies Sleepy River Caravan Park in Hekpoort Reviewed by cilna steyn, South Africa on . Fantastic break away Not a far drive to have a break that could have been in a different province. The owners are very polite and you can see they love having the campers there, nothing is too much of an effort for them. The kids had so much fun, fantastic camp sites.  Definitely recommend this.
