Description
Situated about 16 km from Senekal at the foot of Biddulphsberg, this traditional South African resort offers a unique down-to-earth bushveld experience. This comfortable resort is tucked away on a game farm, set in unspoiled natural surroundings. The farm-style units are surrounded by a variety of birds and small animals and guests can enjoy beautiful nature walks along with typical bush veld relaxation.

As a guest, you can indulge in the viewing of game from an open vehicle or enjoy the sunset at the edge of the mountain. Relaxing afternoons can be spent at the traditional farm pool/dam in a country setting. For energetic guests a 5-hour circle route-walking trail takes you around the mountain and through the game reserve.

Your comfortable unit is a 20 km drive from Senekal with many historical attractions and a 120 km scenic drive from Clarens, where you can explore interesting and unique curio shops, art galleries, restaurants and other attractions.

Biddulphsberg Mountain Resort in Senekal Reviewed by Max Schutte, South Africa on . Quite farm style retreat We had a lovely stay with birds and animals close by. You can take walks on the farm and see wild animals up close. We saw giraffe and different other small animals. Our daughter enjoyed the converted swimming pool. The accommodation is basic but adequate. It could have been cleaner, some areas where not cleaned after the previous people that stayed in the next door unit that shares the common outside areas.

A rustic getaway You couldn't ask for a friendlier host than Rita, she was very welcoming of us and our muddy bikes and kit and went over and above what we expected. The unit was well equipped with everything needed for self catering, the place was clean and the whole farm has character. This is a perfect spot for nature adventurers wanting to explore the area or a great stop over place. Loved every minute there!
