Description
Oma Miemie's Accommodation is the ideal stopover on the way to the Augrabies Falls and Kgalagadi and is situated in the Main Street of Kenhardt.

Our unit has two rooms, both with en-suite bathrooms, and a small kitchenette for self-catering. It is equipped with an air-conditioner, a fan and a TV. There is secure parking available for guests. Barbecue facilities are also available. Farm-style breakfasts are served, as well as coffee and our legendary milk tart in the farm stall. Dinners can be arranged on request.

Oma Miemie’s farm stall sells everything from milk tart to 10 types of breakfast. If you’re not hungry, shop around for a quiver tree or old metal cutlery. There is a wide selection of marmalades, jams, jellies and chutneys that fill the shelves and tables are stacked high with dried and fresh fruit, vegetables and other freshly produced goodies. Make sure you purchase 'potbrood', 'vetkoek' or 'roosterbrood' before leaving.

Oma Miemie's Accommodation in Kenhardt Reviewed by Corene Myburgh, South Africa on . Oma Miemie? No! We actually did not stay at Oma Miemie's after all. Apparently the rooms have been permanently let. We were only told at arrival to go to Mandy of Lavender-thyme Guest House, where we were well looked after in a spacious, beautifully restored old house. Thank you Mandy for looking after us. We were sorry not to have stayed in the quaint Oma Miemie's, but in the end all turned out well.

Comfortable room, quiet location We had a good stay at Oma Miemie's.  The room had a mini kitchen which was useful.  Beds were comfortable and the place was clean.  Convenient to the main restaurant in town.<div>Our hosts were friendly and they helped us organize a visit to a local farm with a beautiful unspoiled Quiver tree forest (thank you both for your help, we had a great time at the farm)</div><div>We also bought some food items at the store and our hosts was very good at getting everything we asked for including some fresh eggs.  A good place we would stay here again if visiting the area.</div>
