Conveniently located a comfortable nine-hour drive or 780 km from Johannesburg, is the tranquil and pristine Praia de Xai Xai. Casa Estrela, set in the secure Xai Xai Eco Estate, is situated in a private and secure enclave at Praia de Xai Xai, with a 180-degree uninterrupted view of the warm Indian Ocean. The house features a wrap-around pool deck, making it the ideal spot for sundowners. Migratory hump back whales can also be viewed from the deck, as they make their appearance from early June to October.

Casa Estrela is a luxury self-catering split-level house, designed and created with easy, relaxed living in mind. Jeff, the houseboy, is on call for your needs and will see to the daily cleaning. The house consists of four bedrooms, two bathrooms and an outdoor shower. An open-plan design marries the dining, kitchen and living room areas, with large windows allowing fascinating views of the ocean from all rooms.

The tastefully furnished lounge, with leather lounge suite and suede curtains, centres towards the verandas with a splash pool and a built-in barbecue that unashamedly stare onto the beach and magnificent ocean ahead. A TV with DStv is supplied, however please bring your own smart card.

The house is within walking distance from the beach, which is protected by an offshore reef making it ideal for swimming, water sports and snorkelling. It is also ideal for scuba diving, which can be booked at Montego's Camp just north of the Estate. A wide variety of fish are attracted to the warm waters of Mozambique, making this coast an excellent fishing destination, and ski-boat, kayak and jet-ski fishing are also enjoyed.

It's actually one of the first instances where online pictures don't do justice to the place. We were so surprised when we got there and the place was HUGE, for two people, so next Jan, we are bringing all our friends with. <br> Would have loved to spend more time there, it rained a bit while we were there. A generator would be amazing though because the electricity is not reliable, the gas stove came in handy so that was great. Jeff is AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. We are so grateful to him. Frank and Franco were also very helpful and kind.
