Description
Knopberg is a tranquil little guest farm providing comfortable self-catering accommodation, hugged in the folds of the Vredefort Dome Bergland. It has unique views of the Vaal River valley, beautiful sunsets, a variety of indigenous trees and a range of local birds.

Knopberg borders the Vaal River and is in close proximity of the historical Venterskroon Town, where gold was mined towards the end of the 19th century.

We offer three separate self-catering units in various sizes, serviced daily. The original farm dam now serves as a swimming pool, and each unit has a private braai area with firewood provided.

A two kilometre Tree Trail with its clearly identified indigenous trees, provides beautiful scenery as well as exercise. A unique feature of Knopberg is a trail with secluded areas among indigenous trees where visitors can go for meditation or prayer.

A nice Dome experience This rating was given after comparing Knopberg with other establishments in the same price bracket. The accommodation was neat and tastefully decorated and the surrounding area is well worth exploring. The dogs on the farm will be a special pleasure to dog lovers as they are keen to go on walks with guests. Children will enjoy the ducks, geese and rabbits and the large lawn to play on. The lodge is walking distance from Venterskroon and the Old Imperial Inn Restaurant which is worth a visit. All things considered this is an excellent way to relax and get close to nature.
