Three hours south of Maputo you will find one of the last places on Earth that can still be considered paradise. Ponta Do Ouro is a place where one can swim with wild dolphins, dive down to reefs from 12 meters to 50 meters packed with sea life, go on nature walks, deep sea fishing, kayaking, kitesurfing and the choice of a busy night life or a quiet night away from it all. Ponta Do Ouro which means 'point of gold', is where our lodge, a mere few minutes' walk from the beach, is situated.
We have a luxury bungalow and a selection of lovely bungalows with a queen bed and en-suite toilet and shower, dorm rooms for both small and large groups and there is space for those who want to camp. We guarantee cleanliness and absolute comfort; all rooms have fans and quality mosquito nets.
The lodge has a quality restaurant and bar, serving up great food with freshly made bread. We also have a grill for campers who want to do their own cooking.
Ponta is one of the top ten dive sites in the world, it is part of several reefs along the coastline each with their own unique character. Diving gear is available for hire.
Sheltered behind a hill, the lodge is a mere few minutes' walk from the beach. We are a short way from the bustling city yet close enough to the water, making it the most ideal location. |
