Dense evergreen forests of towering fig trees stand in a lush undergrowth of ferns and wild orchids hanging from the trees. Forming part of the North western route of the elephant coast, Ndumu River Lodge is only 500 km from Johanesburg and 450 km from Durban. Guests are able to fly directly to Richards Bay and journey northwards on the N2 to Ndumo River Lodge. The park also supports the Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Rhino, Giraffe along with the Suni deer which are found exclusively in the Laquati Sand Forest.
