Previously a small hotel built in 1852, this building has since been converted to a guest house and is situated on the R72 passing through the village of Alexandria.

Heritage Guest House offers guests a choice of nine rooms and a self-catering flat, all non-smoking and comfortably furnished. The rooms are furnished with double or single beds and have views of the city and the guest house garden. Some of the rooms are en-suite while others have a private bathroom that is not shared. Each room has a TV with access to local channels, a heater, a fan and tea and coffee facilities.

The comfortable self-catering flat has a double bedroom and a single bedroom. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. Guest can relax in the large lounge containing a TV with access to local channels. The lounge also has a dining area and an extra bed. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge and a microwave and tea and coffee facilities are provided. The flat contains a fan and a heater to ensure your comfort.

We are known for our delicious country-style breakfasts and are licensed; lunches and dinners are available on request. Safe, off-street parking is provided.

Guests can relax in the large, tree-filled garden with abundant bird life - an oasis of peace and tranquility. A braai area can be found under one of these lovely trees.

Whether you have come to Alexandria on business, are breaking a long journey, or are exploring nearby game reserves, hiking trails and beaches, this promises to be your home from home.
