Description
Lothlorien is a large charming thatched double-storey cottage situated on a beautiful and spacious two-hectare plot of land in the midst of an orchard ensuring complete privacy and serenity. Lothlorien is located in a cul-de-sac which adds to its privacy. During your stay you will have exclusive use of the the private grounds and cottage. It is an ideal romantic getaway for honeymooners and couples or families wishing to escape to the refreshing and magical atmosphere of the mountains in Hogsback. From Lothlorien you can enjoy the magnificent views of Thyme Valley and the Hogsback Mountains.
The cottage sleeps up to 7 adults or 10 persons (6 adults and 4 children). Children are welcome. There is a double bedroom with a queen-size bed on the ground floor, and four single beds upstairs on an open-plan mezzanine floor. One pair of beds can be moved together. A large sofa in the lounge can sleep 1 adult or 2 smaller children. Bedding linen, duvets, blankets and pillows are provided which should keep you cozy especially during the Winter when snow may fall.
Fully furnished for your comfort, the lounge is spacious with comfortable couches, easy chairs and a coffee table. The dining area has a large dining table that comfortably seats six. There is collection of family games, puzzles and a selection of books and magazines provided in our mini library. Snuggle in front of the the cosy Jetmaster fireplace in lounge area. The bathroom located on the ground floor has a large double size shower, a bath and a toilet.
A large electric geyser provides hot water. Towels are supplied. The fully equipped kitchen is ideal for self-catering and includes a microwave oven, a large combination fridge-freezer, a mini oven with dual hot plates, a kettle, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. There is a BBQ / braai area with night lighting using a switch in the cottage. The BBQ / braai area has a large table with seating for braais under the stars on warm summer nights. A Sun umbrella is provided.

The cottage is very spacious for 4 adults, is reasonably equipped and very cosy. We really enjoyed our stay, we were even sad to leave the cottage. I would definitely stay in Lothlorien again in the future. We all fell in love with Hogsback!

It was a cold and wet weekend. We arrived at 5pm, phoned Michael and he delivered the wood within 10 minutes. We had hot water, and the new fridge and microwave were much appreciated. Thank you.
