Palm Springs Resort in Kidd's Beach Reviewed by veronica todd, South Africa on . STAY AWAY!We booked at Palm Springs believing it to be a 3 bedroomed "luxury" property. The website stated that 1 bedroom had a double bed and 2 bedrooms had single beds. We were looking for a property that we could use to sleep in and wanted to cater for ourselves - nothing too fancy as we were not planning on spending all our time in the accommodation. As we were travelling with 3 adult couples, we thought that would be perfect for us. As it turned out 1 of the "bedrooms" had a double bunk in it - not 2 single beds. That particular bedroom was in what appeared to be the entrance to the property. There was a cupboard and the bunkbeds in the room. There was not enough space to even take out the bunk beds and put single beds in the room. Children's bunk beds are by no stretch of the imagination suitable for a 6ft man! There was not even the option of putting beds in the lounge as the glass door was not covered meaning there was no privacy in the lounge. There was 1 bathroom with a shower and toilet for 6 adults. When I went back and checked with the owner I was told that there were only 2 luxury units and the other unit was being vacated 2 days later but we could take that one - it had the rooms with the single beds. We decided to stay and take over the other unit 2 days later - only because we had no other option. I had booked here because the holiday home I usually booked was not available and there were very limited options in Kidds Beach for 6 adults self catering. We ended up leaving the following morning and booking 3 rooms in a hotel in East London. The beds sounded like they were falling apart every time anyone moved, the linen was threadbare, there were no blankets - just a light duvet on the bed - in the middle of winter. The duvet on the double bed smelt like stale sweat…. Definitely not my idea of luxury - would never go back! The apartment was clean and had a lovely view…….if you didn't mind that your neighbours from the adjoining property shared the little balcony. If that was the luxury unit I would hate to see what the other units were like!
Palm Springs Resort in Kidd's Beach Reviewed by rihanne , South Africa on . slegte diensekt plek bespreek van 23 tot 28 februarie, n deposito van r750 gegee, toe ek daar aankom het ek gesien die plek is onversorg en nie veilig vir n vrou aleen nie, ekt gese ek kan nie daar aanbly nie en of hul my deposito of darem slegs n gedeelte daarvan kon terug gee, hulle het geweier, so ekt r750 netso verloor waaroor ek baie ongelukkig voel.
