The Gulu Private Resort has a unique air of enchantment and tranquility and is the ideal holiday destination for nature lovers as well as beach junkies who like to fill their days with adventure.

The Gulu Private Resort is 15 minutes' drive from East London and just 10 minutes from the airport, making it ideal for professionals and reps. We offer a variety of indoor and outdoor activities which can be booked in advance.

The resort is well-known for its beautiful year-round fishing experiences from the banks of the Gulu River or from Gulu Mouth Beach. Winter is always a reason for much excitement and celebration, and the resort owns a private cellar for the wine enthusiast. Wines can be enjoyed in our cosy bar, or in one of our eight warmly decorated en-suite rooms.

Guests wake up to the sound of the sea and can enjoy a peaceful moment before being introduced to our scrumptious gourmet breakfast, served on the deck overlooking the Gulu River. From a buffet of fresh fruit, top quality meats and cheeses, and a selection of gorgeous breads and pastries, guests move on to a cooked breakfast of their choice, washed down with fresh hot coffee and refreshing fruit juices.

We also specialize in weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, conferences and much more. From the edge of the Gulu River, which runs alongside the property, there are spectacular views of surrounding small islands and beautiful, indigenous forestry with fascinating bird life. We love animals and would like to share nature at its best with you. In addition, we offer tented camping for the adventurer as well as very competitive corporate packages.

Gulu Private Resort in Kidd's Beach Reviewed by salome janse van rensburg, South Africa on . December Holiday This was the first time i had every booked a holiday on line! So i was a bit worried about how our holiday would turn out! As you hear lots of horror stories! Well i must say my hubby, myself and our two youngest children had a great time at Gulu! Daniel keeps on asking when can we go back again! Great food, and the owners went out of their way to make you feel welcome! Kids had a great time making friends with the animals stompie the pig! Was a great favourite with the kids as he came every morning to greet them. Socks the cat and all the dogs as well! Felt very rested after my stay and recommend Gulu to anyone. Will be definitely going back for another holiday! Hopefully very soon!

(Thank you for share a New Years toast with us...and especially introducing us to Amarula...we brought 3 bottles back to the States.) The grounds are beautiful!! The bird aviaries are just amazing and worth walking in the rain for...not to mention the happy-go-lucky pot belly pig that made us smile and laugh for hours. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again in our next adventures to South Africa.
