Braeside Bed and Breakfast in Atlantic Seaboard South Reviewed by Phil Gibson, United Kingdom on . ExcellentThis was my second visit to Cape Town, and I was looking for a convenient place to stay within walking distance of the Waterfront. After doing some searching I found that Braeside was ideal in that requirement, though due to the heat, I stayed in January 2015, and the temperatures were 30+ most days so I didn’t walk to the Waterfront !The accommodation is cosy and well-priced and the breakfast is very filling, with a choice of cold meats, fruits, cereals and a hot option as well. Plenty of coffee/tea/juice and toast are also available. My room (Rose) was big, airy and very comfortable, having a separate shower and bath and two really comfy chairs. The sash windows rattled a little when the wind got up one night ! Nothing unusual in that, the house being quite old, a hundred years at least I think. The B&B is ideally for exploring the many eating places on Somerset/Main Road, as well as the Waterfront and the Hop on/off tourist bus.Catherine, Michael and Craig were excellent hosts, very approachable and pleased to help in any way they could.A great place to stay and I would thoroughly recommend it. All being well, health wise I hope to return one day soon.
