Built at the turn of the century, Whalers Cottage is comfortably nestled at the foot of the mountain with sweeping views of the colorful village of Kalk Bay, its fishing harbor and False Bay. We offer two self-catering units both fully equipped with quality and comfortable features, a daily maid service and expansive views.

Take a short walk to the famous Olympia Café renowned for its delicious Mediterranean fare or one of the numerous waterside taverns and restaurants dotted along the street that all make for an unforgettable culinary experience.

Walk to one of the four tidal pools or browse through the many antique shops and galleries in the vibrant fishing village of Kalk Bay. Sunday afternoons are best spent catching the train and enjoying the scenic route along the coast to Simons Town.

The cottage was home from home with lovely furnishings, a cosy feel, two outside sitting areas and all amenities. Then there was the view! Kalk Bay harbour on our doorstep with fishing boats coming and going. Added to this there is a host of restaurants within easy walking distance which added variety and flavour to our holiday. The welcome we received from Carol was heart warming and Whalers Cottage is definitely accommodation we would like to return to some time.
